Can I ask for my TCF Canada writing or speaking to be re-marked?
Checked November 1, 2026
Not at the moment. France Éducation international (FEI) has suspended re-marking (recorrection) of the speaking and writing tests for sessions from 1 September 2026. The suspension is for about one year, with resumption planned for autumn 2027.
What this means in practice.
- If you sit TCF Canada now, treat the result as final and prepare so that you do not depend on a re-check.
- Report any problem with how the test ran to the centre on the day, right after the test. A complaint about the running of the test must be made before results are published, and FEI accepts none after the attestation is issued.
- FEI does not give annotated copies, comments on what to improve or the number of right answers, so a result you disagree with comes with no breakdown.
- If the result falls short, the route open to you is a retake, with 20 days between two sittings.
FEI can change this decision. Before you book, check FEI’s TCF Canada page for the current situation, especially if autumn 2027 matters for your timing.
Retake, validity and the complaints procedure are covered in TCF Canada results and validity.
