How do I log in to my TCF-Candidat account to see my results?
Checked November 3, 2026
Your TCF-Candidat account is created when your centre validates the session. You then get an email from noreply@france-education-international.fr and identify yourself with your date of birth, your country of birth and the first letters of your surname (try 3, then 2), with no space, apostrophe or hyphen. That is where you follow the marking and download your certificate.
The 2 or 3-letter code
This is the most common reason login fails. FEI’s handbook sets these rules.
- They are the first letters of your surname. If your surname has fewer than 2 letters, they are the first letters of your first name.
- Only Latin letters are accepted, accents included (é, è, ç, ñ, ș, ț…).
- No space, no apostrophe, no hyphen, and no other symbol.
The handbook speaks of a “2 or 3-letter” code without saying when to type 2. Try the first 3 letters, then the first 2. As we read it, a surname like “N’Diaye” or “Le Goff” is typed without the symbol, running the letters together (“ndi”, “leg”). If that fails, try with and without accents, and check the exact spelling the centre recorded.
Your date and country of birth must also match what you gave the centre. A mistake made at registration is fixed by the centre, not by you.
Where to log in
The link to the TCF-Candidat account is in the email from noreply@france-education-international.fr. The handbook gives no other login address, so keep that email.
If the email doesn’t arrive
- Wait until the centre validates the session. The email doesn’t come when you pay.
- Look in your spam folder for a message from
noreply@france-education-international.fr. - Check with the centre which email address it recorded. The centre passes your details to FEI.
- If login still fails, ask the centre to check your name, date and country of birth as recorded. You can also collect the certificate at the centre.
What you find there
- The progress of the marking of your papers.
- The certificate as a PDF with a QR code, once it is published. You can also collect it from the centre.
For a paper session, results arrive at the latest 15 working days after FEI receives the papers (results delay). What the certificate shows is in the TCF Canada certificate.
Before results come out
A complaint about how the test was run has to be made before results are published. No appeal is accepted once the certificate has been issued. If something went wrong on test day, tell the centre straight away.
If your writing mark is below your target NCLC, the certificate won’t say why. FEI doesn’t annotate papers, so get one task marked to see which mistakes cost points.
