Where to take TCF Canada in India, and what the exam fee is
Checked November 3, 2026
₹26,000 including GST at the two centres with a current fee. On 3 November 2026, Alliance Française de Delhi showed ₹26,000 with GST for its 18 and 25 November 2026 sessions, and Alliance Française du Bengale in Kolkata ₹26,000 with GST, applicable from 1 January 2026. Delhi’s registration for those sessions opens on 4 November 2026, at 9.30 online and 9.00 at the desk. We found no current fee outside Delhi and Kolkata, so ask the centre.
Fees by centre
Fees for the full exam, read on each centre’s own page on 3 November 2026.
| Centre | Fee | Note |
|---|---|---|
| AF Delhi | ₹26,000 | With GST, November 2026 sessions |
| AF du Bengale, Kolkata | ₹26,000 | GST included, from 1 January 2026 |
| AF Trivandrum | ₹21,240 | Page dated 2023, confirm |
| AF Bangalore | Not shown | Ask the centre |
AF stands for Alliance Française. Kolkata lists the fee next to the speaking test but says all four parts are compulsory, so it is one fee for the whole exam. TCF Canada cannot be bought skill by skill (what the price covers).
How booking works in Delhi
- Registration for the 18 and 25 November 2026 sessions opens on 4 November, at 9.30 online and 9.00 at the centre.
- Your seat is only confirmed once you have paid.
- You need a valid passport to register.
- No refund requests are accepted. If the centre cancels the session, you get a new date or a full refund.
- There is a waiting list, and a fee can be transferred through the front desk.
- The 20-day wait between two sittings applies.
Kolkata
Register at least 15 days before the exam. The 20-day wait between two sittings applies there too.
Other cities
We found no current fee outside Delhi and Kolkata. Trivandrum’s ₹21,240 sits on a page dated 2023, so treat it as old until the centre confirms it. Bangalore’s TCF Canada page shows no fee. In Mumbai, Alliance Française de Bombay shows no current fee (its TCF page is a 2014 notice for the old TCF, so ignore the fee on it), so ask the centre. We found no fee page for Chennai, Chandigarh or Pondicherry. Look your city up on FEI’s map of TCF centres and write to the centre for its fee, dates and format.
Before you pay
- Check the centre is on FEI’s map. We only say these centres list TCF Canada on their sites.
- Confirm the fee with the centre.
- Be ready the day registration opens. Delhi confirms seats on payment only, and if nothing is free see no date available.
Registration steps are in how to register, and choosing a centre in where to take TCF Canada.
At ₹26,000 a sitting, it is worth knowing where your writing stands before you register. Write one practice task and get an estimated mark.
