Q: Where to take TCF Canada in Qatar, and what the exam costs

At the Institut français du Qatar, in Doha, which describes itself as the only centre allowed to run French exams in Qatar. TCF Canada costs 1,300 QAR there, on computer only. The only TCF Canada session listed on 3 November 2026 is on Wednesday 16 December 2026, marked “Inscriptions closes” (registration closed) on the site, so no known open session that day. You register with a form, by email or in person, and you need 30 days between two TCF sittings.

Fee

Test	Fee at the Institut français du Qatar
TCF Canada, four tests, on computer	1,300 QAR
TCF IRN	1,300 QAR
TEF Canada	1,250 QAR

The TCF Canada fee is on the session page and on the 2026 registration form. The TCF IRN is for French nationality, not Canada. TEF Canada is a different test, also accepted by IRCC, see TCF or TEF Canada.

Sessions

On 3 November 2026, the events page showed only one TCF Canada session, on Wednesday 16 December 2026, on computer. Its title says “Inscriptions closes” (registration closed), with no closing date. The other 2026 TCF sessions on the site were TCF tout public, which does not count for immigration. Email the centre to ask whether seats remain and when the 2027 dates come out.

Registration

Download the 2026 TCF registration form from the Institut’s site.
Fill it in, with a photo.
Email it to the centre, or bring it in person with a passport copy and pay in cash or by card. There is no online shop.

Rules

From the form, the 2026 terms of sale and the exams page. The three documents do not fully agree, so here is the cautious reading.

Change of date or version. The form rules it out after registration. The terms of sale allow it while registration is open.
Absence without proof. No refund and no postponement. After closing, the terms of sale allow an exceptional postponement for illness, bereavement, accident or an official exam, requested within 2 days with proof.
At least 30 days between two TCFs, whatever the version. Otherwise, the registration is cancelled with no refund. The general rules are in retaking TCF Canada.
On exam day, a valid photo ID (QID or passport), a black pen and your notice to attend.
Refunds. Not refundable, except once on a valid medical certificate (reschedule or refund), or in full if the Institut cancels.

Before you pay

Check on FEI’s TCF centre map that the centre still offers TCF Canada.
Ask whether seats remain on 16 December before sending the form.
With only one session listed, also look at the UAE in TCF Canada in the UAE, or read no date available.

With one date per period, a mark that is too low costs a lot of time. Write a practice task to see your estimated writing mark before you register.
